Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Fort Lewis College and his Master of Science in Accounting with a focus in auditing from Colorado State University. He earned his CPA designation in 1977 and his ABV in 1998. Steve joined Sample & Bailey in 1988, after spending ten years with a firm in western Colorado. He became a shareholder in 1991. Steve is primarily involved in the financial statement services for the firm: he is responsible for the firm’s financial statement technical review, plus the quality control policies and implementations. In addition, Steve performs valuation services for business purchase and sale transactions, separation, business combinations, and asset valuations. Steve’s areas of accounting and auditing are centered on manufacturing, real estate development, medical services, and construction.
